Crash Damaged Helmet Replacement Policy


Unfortunately, accidents do sometimes happen. In order for a helmet to do its job and protect your head, it absorbs the impact force of the crash meaning that after the crash, the helmet will no longer be able to protect you efficiently against further impacts. The helmet has now served its purpose and a replacement is required, even though it may still look intact.

Ride Plus offers a 50% discount off one new Giro Cycling Helmet for up to 12 months from the date of purchase. This is applies to Giro helmets purchased through any Ride Plus store, and when accompanied by a valid receipt from the store of purchase.

Contact your nearest Ride Plus store or please complete this form https://forms.gle/8hzDqizsjpNyCTaF9 and send through photos of the helmet involved in the accident, detailing any damage, along with proof of purchase.

Once your request has been approved, a member of our dedicated customer service team will contact you to arrange your replacement helmet.

* This is offered only to the original retail purchaser and is not transferable. One replacement per 12-month period.

In the event the original helmet is not available, a replacement of similar type and value will be offered.

Our crash replacement policy does not apply in the event of abuse, neglect, carelessness, using the product in any way other than is intended, replacement with any part or accessory other than original Giro parts and products, attempt of reparation or modification unless expressly permitted in writing by Giro.

We require you send your damaged helmet back to us so we can analyze it and make improvements if needed. Failure to include photos of the helmet or proof of purchase may result in an automatic rejection of crash replacement claim.
